I was born in 1976, a true Gen X, raised in a home where coffee wasn’t just a drink. It was a lifestyle.

My love for coffee started early, thanks to my father, who always had a fresh pot brewing. Later, with my foster parents, coffee became a nightly ritual. In our house, we don’t go to sleep without a cup. No joke.

That passion turned into an obsession. And eventually, into a mission.

Coffee has always been there for me. Quiet mornings. Long hikes. Snowy days. Late-night conversations. It’s part of the rhythm of my life.

But over time, I realized something. Most people only know commercial, big-box coffee. And that’s not what coffee is supposed to be.

I discovered snowboarding in my 20s, thanks to my girlfriend, now my wife. Eventually I switched to skiing, and now I’m out there every winter with my boys.

We start the day with a fresh brew, hit the slopes, and end it with another cup. Tired legs. Warm hands. Full hearts.
